St Bonaventure's. Our Year 10 students had a glorious morning at Hadleigh Country Park in Essex, cycling at the site of the 2012 Olympic mountain biking event. They had a great time biking through the scenic trails; the boys had a fantastic time in nature.

St Bonaventure's was founded as a private Roman Catholic school in 1855, by members of the Franciscan order based in the Stratford area of London. They moved to the St Antony's parish of Forest Gate in 1897, when they needed more space to build a larger school.
St. Bonaventure Monastery, a complex of religious buildings, built for the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, located in Detroit, Michigan. Solanus Casey served here as the monastery porter from 1924 to 1946, meeting visitors at the friary door. The site is a popular pilgrimage site for Metro Detroit Catholics.
18 de abr. de 2024 · Bonaventure used his authority so prudently that, placating the first group and reproving the second, he preserved the unity of the order and reformed it in the spirit of St. Francis. The work of restoration and reconciliation owed its success to Bonaventure’s tireless visits, despite delicate health, to each province of the order and to his own personal realization of the Franciscan ideal.

On July 15, the Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Bonaventure, who is one of my absolute favorite saints and theologians. I would like to reflect on my personal background with St. Bonaventure as well as offer some information about his life, work, and influence.
15 de jul. de 2022 · But a little over a year later, while participating in the Second Council of Lyon, Saint Bonaventure died suddenly on July 15, 1274. There is a theory that he was poisoned. Saint Bonaventure left behind a structured and renewed Franciscan Order and a body of work all of which glorifies his major love—Jesus. Reflection.
