Spencer Dryden (born April 7, 1938, New York City, New York, USA – died January 11, 2005, Petaluma, California, USA) was an American musician best known as drummer for Jefferson Airplane and New Riders Of The Purple Sage.He also played with Dinosaurs, and the Ashes (19) (later known as The Peanut Butter Conspiracy).Nephew of Charlie Chaplin.
25 de jul. de 2023 · Drummer Spencer Dryden, who died of colon cancer in 2005, played a role in fifties rock, then joined Jefferson Airplane and performed with the group on all of its key albums and at Monterey Pop, Woodstock, and Altamont.He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Airplane in 1996. He quit the group in 1970 and signed on with New Riders of the Purple Sage.
