Ray Owen (14 July 1947 – 31 October 2018) occasionally played live in France under the moniker "Ray Owen's Juicy Lucy", accompanied by Mike Jarvis and Spencer Blackledge from the 1990s incarnation of the band, and latterly with Sylvain Galesso on drums and Rosie Woodland on bass guitar.
Drummer and percussionist Spencer Blackledge brings 25 years of gigging and recording experience to The Water. Unlike most, Spencer has the ability to bring out melody from percussive instruments which adds different shades of colour to songs.
In 1994, original singer Ray Owen formed a new incarnation of Juicy Lucy with guitarist Mike Jarvis, bassist Andy Doughty and drummer Spencer Blackledge, releasing the album Here She Comes Again in 1995.
Ray Owen actúa ocasionalmente en Francia bajo el nombre de "Ray Owen's Juicy Lucy", acompañado por Mike Jarvis y Spencer Blackledge, y más tarde con Sylvain Galesso a la batería y Rosie Woodland al bajo.
