Saunders Terrell (October 24, 1911 – March 11, 1986), known as Sonny Terry, was an American Piedmont blues and folk musician, who was known for his energetic blues harmonica style, which frequently included vocal whoops and hollers and occasionally imitations of trains and fox hunts.

He developed a harmonica style that imitated sounds ranging from moving trains to barnyard animals, often using his voice while playing these effects.
Blind American blues harmonica player and vocalist. He primarily played in the Piedmont blues style but also appeared in numerous folk music collaborations with the likes of Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie. He is most known for performing as a duo with guitarist Brownie McGhee .
