Sonny is for the most part kind of back in the mix, which allows a certain depth to the recording as no soloist is really favored. Pharaoh shines as always, and while it’s certainly a Sharrock affair, the mix again allows substantial appreciation for the entire band. Very laid back to almost no studio effects.
