Release Notes. Some Time In New York City is John Lennon 's third post-Beatles solo album, and fifth with Yoko Ono. It was released in 1972 and was the first to be credited as a "Lennon & Ono" album. At the end of 1971 they had enjoyed universal success with the "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" single which was destined to become a seasonal standard.
