I can't believe there aren't more comments on Howlin Wolf. I'm just barely getting into these really old blues but c'mon guys. To me the smokestack lightning is a reference to smoking. Smoking anything really. He's saying that she can't hear him crying because he isn't. That's kind of what the blues is about isn't it?
