Simon Jonathan Gallup (Surrey, 1 de junio de 1960) es un bajista inglés, integrante de la banda de rock, The Cure. Biografía. Simon Johnathon Gallup (born 1 June 1960) is an English musician who is best known as bassist for The Cure, which he first joined in 1979 and for which he has played through most of the band's history. Gallup is the second longest-serving member of the band after group leader Robert Smith.
15 de oct. de 2021 · Simon Gallup, the Cure's bassist since 1984, announced his departure from the band on Facebook. He said he was fed up of betrayal and health issues. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. The band's keyboardist Roger O'Donnell confirmed his departure.
