Soon after, Rollins formed Rollins Band with Haskett, bassist Andrew Weiss, and drummer Sim Cain (Weiss and Cain had previously played with Gone, an instrumental rock group led by guitarist and Black Flag founder Greg Ginn). Live sound engineer Theo Van Rock was usually credited as a band member.

Sim Cain is probably best known as a member of the Rollins Band from their start in 1987. In 1997 Simeon Cain was replaced by Jason Mackenroth, who was first featured on Rollins Band's 1999 album "Insert Band Here (live)".
Sim Cain is probably best known as the drummer for the Rollins Band. Despite an exhaustive touring and recording schedule during the late eighties and nineties he managed to establish long term musical and personal relationships with the likes of (composer / guitarists) Marc Ribot, Elliot Sharp, and David Poe.
