Susan Alexandra "Sigourney" Weaver (/ s ɪ ˈ ɡ ɔːr n i /; born October 8, 1949) is an American actress and film producer. Prolific in film since the late 1970s, she is known for her pioneering portrayals of action heroines in science fiction and horror films.
