The school, with 520 pupils, takes boys from 11–18 and girls from 16–18. From September 2023 girls will join Year 7 as the school transitions to become fully co-educational by 2027. [1]

Shiplake College has evolved and moved forward since its founding in 1959 but many principles remain the same. We aim to admit a well-balanced range of pupils with a variety of skills and talents, who can make the most of the many opportunities we offer them. This is a header 2 .

Shiplake College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school for around 520 pupils aged 11 to 18. There has been a co-educational Sixth Form since 1998 and in September 2023 girls joined in Year 7 as the College goes fully co-educational. Flexi, weekly and full boarding is available from Year 9.
