Shaun Cassidy is the debut solo album by American singer Shaun Cassidy. The eponymous album was first released in 1976 in Europe and Australia, where he had top-ten hits with "Morning Girl" and "That's Rock 'n' Roll". It was not until the release of a cover version of The Crystals' song, "Da Doo Ron Ron", that Cassidy's international success carried over into the United States.
Shaun Cassidy was very passionate about singing from his high school days and he signed a contract with Mike Curb's division of Warner Bros. Records and started his recording journey. His debut album ‘Shaun Cassidy’ (1976) was first released in Europe and Australia where it became a major hit. Later on, it was released in the US as well.

He received multiple Tony Award nominations and a win, as well as a Grammy Award, for his work on the Broadway production of the musical She Loves Me.He also received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. He was the father of teen idols David Cassidy and Shaun Cassidy.
