Shane Meadows is a self-taught, British film-maker who hails from the Midlands in the UK. He was born in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, UK on the 26th of December 1972. After dropping out of school before reaching his O-Levels, Shane originally had his sights set on becoming an infamous, criminal mastermind of legendary proportions.

Director, Producer, Actor. Shane Meadows was born on 26 December 1972 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, and grew up in Nottingham. That city's estates and suburbs have provided the locations and settings for all his work to date. While on the dole, Meadows completed some twenty-five short films shot on a borrowed video camcorder. One of these, Where's the Money Ronnie!
