Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet are a Juno Award-winning Canadian instrumental rock band, formed in 1984. They remain best known for the track "Having an Average Weekend", of which an alternate version was used as the theme to the Canadian sketch comedy TV show The Kids in the Hall.

Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet. Probably best known for supplying the theme song to the Canadian TV show "The Kids in the Hall", Toronto's surf-punk trio Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet formed in 1984 and subsequently released a number of singles, EPs and three full-length albums.

The band is perhaps best known for providing the theme song to the sketch comedy TV show, The Kids in the Hall. They released three albums before disbanding in 1996, reconstituting once again in 2013.
Discography. Twenty-plus years after their last reverb trail dissipated, the remains of Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet have reconstituted. The Men were first reanimated in 2012 and have been semi-active since, revealing a stature and distinct influence that has only grown since their original incarnation.
