Seth Bullock (July 23, 1849 – September 23, 1919) was a Canadian-American frontiersman, business proprietor, politician, sheriff, and U.S. Marshal. He was a prominent citizen in Deadwood, South Dakota, where he lived from 1876 until his death, operating a hardware store and later a large hotel, the Bullock Hotel .

Seth Bullock left Etobicoke, Ontario and became a marshal in Montana. Soon he heard stories of gold in Deadwood. Rather than searching for gold, he wanted to open a hardware store with best friend and longtime partner, Sol Star. At the camp, he met Wild Bill Hickok.
Seth Bullock was a Canadian-born Canadian who made a name for himself in Deadwood, South Dakota as a frontiersman, businessman, politician, and U.S. Marshal. He was instrumental in creating the first National Park, building the first hotel, and serving as a Rough Rider in the Spanish-American War. He also formed a friendship with Theodore Roosevelt and was a leader of the cattlemen's movement.
