James Cain: Secret Treaties is a strong album, considered by many Blue Oyster Cult aficionados to be their finest half hour, although other fans (and those not entirely indoctrinated into the Cult) prefer the recalculated, slick but still otherworldly metal of 1981’s Fire Of Unknown Origin.
