20 de feb. de 2016 · Sadvilliany. 92. So goddam depressing like jesus, the first track on her is just crippling, but so beautiful at the same time. It makes you feel so bad for Yoko. She released this record 6 months after the death of Lennon. 3. 6y.
This masterpiece, "Season of Glass," documents that partnership in pieces, Yoko soldiering on, trying to figure out how to soldier on, after her husband's murder. If you don't like Yoko, guess what, she already knows and she makes fun of that attitude (and of herself) all over this record, which is broken-hearted, angry, life-affirming, earthy, and highly musical.
25 de mar. de 2020 · John Lennon isn’t mentioned by name on Yoko Ono’s Season of Glass. He hardly needs to be; those are his blood-stained glasses on the cover. But for a couple who made their names such a part of their iconography, from the name-calling on The Wedding Album to “Oh, Yoko” and “Mrs. Lennon,” it’s significant. The absence of the name makes the absence of the person painfully clear.
