Formed on February 24, 1965, the group was centred around guitarist and vocalist Kim Simmonds, who was originally joined by lead vocalist Brice Portius, bassist Ray Chappell, keyboardist Trevor Jeavons, harmonica player John O'Leary and drummer Leo Mannings.
