Sarah Franklin Bache (September 12, 1788 – October 6, 1863), married Thomas Sergeant (1782–1860), who later was appointed as an associate justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and postmaster of Philadelphia. They were the grandparents of Margaret Mason Perry (of the Perry family of Rhode Island) who married John La Farge.
