John Martyn, nome d'arte di Iain David McGeachy (New Malden, 11 settembre 1948 – Thomastown, 29 gennaio 2009), è stato un cantautore e chitarrista britannico. Spaziava dal folk al blues al jazz e il suo stile era caratterizzato dall'uso della voce come strumento musicale.

Sapphire remastered and expanded was released on high quality heavy weight vinyl by Universal Music on 26 January 2015. The press release stated; “Single disc, two-disc, double lp and digital equivalent releases which marked John Martyn’s return to Island Records in the mid-1980’s.
