Sam Donahue (born March 18, 1918, Detroit, Michigan, USA - died March 22, 1974, Reno, Nevada, USA) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist, trumpeter, arranger and bandleader. He is the father of guitarist Jerry Donahue.

His band had a hard-swinging Jimmie Lunceford approach on the early titles and the leader, who is the principal soloist, had an attractive Georgie Auld by way of Lester Young sound on tenor.
