The college claims to be "the oldest surviving academic society to house and educate undergraduates in any university" and was the last surviving medieval academic hall at the university. [4] [5]
St Edmund Hall is home to a large, diverse and inclusive community. The Hall’s intake of approximately 110 undergraduates, selected on merit and irrespective of background, comprises students with academic ability, passion for their subjects and the potential to excel.
