Alphonse Lee Mouzon (November 21, 1948 – December 25, 2016) was an American musician and vocalist, most prominently known as a jazz fusion drummer. He was also a composer, arranger, producer, and actor. Mouzon gained popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Alphonse Mouzon (Charleston, Carolina del Sur; 21 de noviembre de 1948-Granada Hills (Los Ángeles), California; 25 de diciembre de 2016) fue un baterista estadounidense de jazz fusión y el dueño de Tenacius Records, un sello discográfico que liberó inicialmente las grabaciones de Mouzon.

Sahara is a 1972 album by jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, his first to be released on the Milestone label. It was recorded in January 1972 and features performances by Tyner with Sonny Fortune, Calvin Hill, and Alphonse Mouzon.
