Biography. Ryo Kamomiya was born in Tokyo in 1962, and in 1984, became a member of Japanese pop sensations The Pizzicato Five. Working with them under the guidance of legendary producer Haruomi Hosono and CBS/Sony records, he left the band after the release of their album Couples in 1987, to pursue a solo career.
