On July 26, Light In the Attic Records will reissue the seventh of Ryuichi Sakamoto ‘s albums – Neo Geo. The album was originally released in 1987 via Sony Music. The album featured a track written and performed with Iggy Pop, “Risky”.

In the years leading up to his death, Sakamoto could no longer perform live. Single concerts, not to mention sprawling global tours, were too taxing.
Hace 4 días · TOKYO: Ryuichi Sakamoto, the Oscar-winning Japanese composer famed for his scores for “The Last Emperor”, “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence” and other films, has died aged 71, the Yomiuri Shimbun daily reported on Sunday. Sakamoto was also known for his work with the pioneering electronic music band Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) which he co-founded.
