Rush begint als een prima film, met een goede, langzame regie en sterke muziek. Maar helaas weet de film de belofte die in het begin wordt gedaan niet waar te maken: door de langzame shots (ha!) en de verstilde dialogen verslapt de aandacht na verloop van tijd behoorlijk, tot het moment dat het einde me niet eens meer wat kan schelen; de film duurt dan ook veel te lang. Er had meer in gezeten.
