Ron Sexsmith was zeventien toen hij begon met spelen in een bar in zijn woonplaats, the Lion's Tavern. Hij kreeg een reputatie als "The One-Man Jukebox" vanwege zijn gewoonte om veel verzoeknummers te spelen. Na een jaar of vier/vijf begon hij met het spelen van meer alternatieve en donkerdere muziek. Iets wat zijn publiek hem niet in dank af nam.

Prolific St. Catharines-born singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith has announced his 18th(!) studio album, led by new single "What I Had in Mind." The Vivian Line will be drawn on February 17 through Warner.
Ron Sexsmith is an amazing singer/songwriter; his narrative was warm, honest, funny and heartfelt. The continuous playlist was incredible and it was a great concert!! Applause and ovations for Ron Sexsmith and the band were truly appreciative and spontaneous. It deserves a 5 star rating. The venue is back in all its shining glory.
