Ron Hurst (born c. 1950) is an American musician. Since 1984 he has been the drummer for American rock band Steppenwolf. He resides in Hillsboro, Oregon, in the Portland area where he teaches drums at a studio. Hurst moved from Nashville, Tennessee, to the Hillsboro area in 2003.
The band's final lineup featured Kay, keyboardist Michael Wilk (since 1982, and bassist between 1984 and 2009), bassist Gary Link (from 1982 to 1984, and since 2009), drummer Ron Hurst (since 1984) and lead guitarist Danny Johnson (since 1996). History. 1967–1976.

Ron Hurst is drum teacher at MIR Music in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon. Ron is also the drummer for John Kay and Steppenwolf. He joined joined the band in 1984 and has recorded four albums with the band since. Born and raised near Boston, Ron Hurst began playing the drums at age eight and never put them down.
24 de jul. de 2022 · Ron Hurst is a son of Preston Eugene and Verna Lee Jones Hurst. He has a brother, Bob. A sister Elaine passed away at 20 years. Ron was raised in Green Township near Ironton on the Ohio River.
