Also appearing on the band’s debut album was Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones, and legendary pianist Nicky Hopkins. In 1970, the band released their second album, Dragonfly.

May 1968 and The Strawbs returned. With the exception of their bluegrass numbers it was reported that the Strawbs were 'rather disappointing in the first half'.
