Career. Abrahams left Jethro Tull after their debut album, This Was, was released, due to a falling-out with Tull vocalist Ian Anderson over the direction of the band. He formed Blodwyn Pig with Jack Lancaster ( saxophone and flute ), Andy Pyle ( bass guitar ), and Ron Berg ( drums ). [2]

6 de ene. de 2021 · Background. Abrahams (b. 1943, Luton, Bedfordshire) formed Blodwyn Pig after leaving Jethro Tull due to a falling-out with Tull frontman Ian Anderson. For the new band, he recruited reedist Jack Lancaster, bassist Andy Pyle, and drummer Ron Berg.

Drummer Ron Berg also gets a writing credit for the brief "To Rassman", a nonsensical calypso song. The album closes with "Send Your Son to Die", a track which featured on the Island records sampler "Bumpers". The track sums up the band well, blending the blues rock and the jazz rock with an infectious rhythm section.
