Roger Powell biography Born 14 March 1949 (San Francisco, USA) Roger Powell has deep roots in the history of synthesizers. As a one time protege of Robert Moog, and then a synth designer for Arp, and more recently a programmer for Apple, Powell has always been at the forefront in the development of synthesizers and audio software.
Roger Powell OBE (17 May 1896 – 16 October 1990) was an English bookbinder.. Powell was born in London.He was educated at Bedales School, of which his father was co-founder.He served as a signals officer in the Royal Flying Corps in World War I and then became a poultry farmer. In 1930 he began training as a bookbinder at the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London.
