Waar we bij Young Frankenstein en Blazing Saddles om de haverklap werden getrakteerd op een overvloed aan one-liners, visuele grappen en een geweldige cast, kan ik dit niet zeggen over deze film. Cary Elwes is geweldig, net als zijn tegenspeelster.
Robin assembles a new band of merry men, including the Rabbi Tuckman (Mel Brooks), to unseat the bad King, and finds he has a friend in the palace with the lovely Maid Marian (Amy Yasbeth).
