Lee High School, teacher Nettie Bradshaw would get her “dander up” (phrase used a lot in Texas) if someone said “San Antone.” An astute Texas history teacher, she insisted that students get the facts straight and that included the proper names for all places in Texas.

He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Baytown, Texas in 1944. Ralph served in US Army during World War II in the Pacific and a MP in the occupation of Japan.
