Florence and the Machine (stylized as Florence + the Machine) are an English indie rock band that formed in London in 2007, consisting of lead vocalist Florence Welch, keyboardist Isabella Summers, guitarist Rob Ackroyd, harpist Tom Monger, and a collaboration of other musicians.
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is a detective novel by the British writer Agatha Christie, her third to feature Hercule Poirot as the lead detective. The novel was published in the UK in June 1926 by William Collins, Sons, having previously been serialised as Who Killed Ackroyd? between July and September 1925 in the London Evening News.
Argumento. En una pequeña y sosegada ciudad ficticia británica, King's Abbot, una dama —Mrs Ferrars— asesina a su marido y es víctima de extorsión hasta que ella, sin poder aguantar más, se suicida. El hombre a quien ella amaba, Roger Ackroyd, recibe una carta que le revela el nombre del extorsionador, quien le llevó a tal fatídico desenlace.
Sinopsis. Roger Ackroyd sabe demasiado. Sabe que la mujer que ama envenenó a su brutal primer marido. También sospecha que alguien la ha estado chantajeando. Ahora, trágicamente, le llega la noticia de que se ha quitado la vida con una sobredosis de drogas.
