Klymaxx is an American all-female pop / R&B band from Los Angeles, California. The band's classic lineup consisted of Bernadette Cooper, Lorena Porter Shelby, Cheryl Cooley, Robbin Grider, Lynn Malsby, and Joyce "Fenderella" Irby. Klymaxx is best known for their 1985 international hit "I Miss You".
Five members reunited, Robbin Grider could not be located. Cheryl Cooley did not participate in the performance due to friction between her and the other band mates for unsuccessfully trying to trademark the name without the members knowing and forming her own version of Klymaxx without permission.

Once the core group had been established with guitarist Cheryl Cooley, keyboardist Lynn Malsby, and Robbin Grider, the search came to a sweet end once vocalist Lorena Porter (Stewart) came on board. Later, after signing their first contract, Cooper made personnel changes, and bassist/vocalist Joyce Irby.
