Richard Roman Grechko (1 November 1946 – 17 March 1990), [1] better known as Ric Grech, was a British rock musician. He is best known for playing bass guitar and violin with the rock band Family as well as in the supergroups Blind Faith and Traffic. He also played with ex- Cream drummer Ginger Baker .
Rick Grech, bass player and violinist of Family, Blind Faith, Airforce, Traffic, Gram Parsons, The Crickets and Eric Clapton fame. Rick played sessions for Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Eddie Harris, Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and Ronnie Lane amongst many others.

Ric Grech. Family’s most famous and prolific member was born Richard Roman Grech, Nov. 1, 1946, in Bordeaux, France. Educated at Corpus Christi RC School, Leicester, he played violin in the school orchestra.
