Tonwelle is the second album by Klaus Schulze released under the name of Richard Wahnfried. It was originally released in 1981, and was not reissued by Revisited Records as part of the overall reissue program of Schulze albums.

Richard Wahnfried: Tonwelle. Manuel Göttsching sets the pace. Remark: This CD (1990, on the IC label) also contains two excerpts of Megatone. In 2012, the German label "Made in Germany" released a double CD with two versions each of both Tonwelle tracks. They seem to believe that the original release with 45 RPM was wrong (!).
Klaus Schulze (4 August 1947 – 26 April 2022) was a German electronic music pioneer, composer and musician. He also used the alias Richard Wahnfried and was a member of the Krautrock bands Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel, and the Cosmic Jokers before launching a solo career consisting of more than 60 albums released across six decades.
