Ric Grech schloss sich 1965 der Band Farinas an, die 1962 von Charlie Whitney gegründet worden war. Nachdem Roger Chapman hinzugestoßen war, benannten sie sich 1967 in Family um. Im Februar 1969 verließ Grech Family, um als viertes Bandmitglied neben Eric Clapton , Steve Winwood und Ginger Baker die – nach der Auflösung von Cream gegründete – neue Supergroup Blind Faith zu komplettieren.

14 de mar. de 2014 · Until recently I thought it was Ric and that Grech was pronounced with a hard “K” sound. I’m not sure now. On most of his recordings, and his own signature on a photograph I have, it is spelled Rick and many people I have spoken to who knew him assure me that Grech should be pronounced with a “CH” sound.
