Mit ihrem vierten Album "Near The Beginning", das 1969 erschien, ging die Band musikalisch wieder mehr zu ihren Anfängen zurück, denn das Album war wieder sehr Rock- und Blues orientiert und z.B. mit The Beat Goes on überhaupt nicht zu vergleichen.
