1 de sept. de 2000 · Haslip's primary collaborator throughout the program is Joe Vannelli, best known as the keyboardist and mainstay for his brother, Gino. Vannelli and Haslip co-composed seven of the ten tunes, co-produced the CD, and provided the bulk of the programming.
Even though it is a solo album, Red Heat is a joint project of Haslip and Joe Vannelli. Jimmy performs on his album electric bass, acoustic bass guitar, synth bass, fretless bass, additional keyboards, drum and additional percussion programming, background vocals, horn arrangements.

He would have shouted that from a mountain top (perhaps he did). Red Heat was a double-edged sword of pride and accomplishment.
