Raymond Cooper (born 19 September 1947 [1] [2]) is an English musician who has worked as a session and road-tour percussionist.

Ray Cooper nació en Watford, Hertfordshire, Inglaterra, el 19 de septiembre de 1947. De joven estudio piano clásico, instrumentos de cuerdas y viento, pero sus gustos musicales se inclinaron por el género del rock, en donde comenzó a incursionar en los instrumentos de percusión.
Ray Cooper is a British session percussionist whose recording career started in the 1960s, recording with the WHO, among others, and is still going. Among his early jobs were America, Carly Simon, David Essex, Blue Mink and especially Elton John (he played on most of his '70s albums).

Ray Cooper is a British-born performer who has worked with Terry Gilliam, Paul McCartney and Elton John. He is known for his roles in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Brazil and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
