Rashawn Ross (born January 16, 1979) is an American trumpeter and arranger. His contributions in the Dave Matthews Band, as first a touring member and now a full-time member, have gained him visibility. Ross is an accomplished session musician.
Trumpet player and arranger Rashawn Ross ’00 is probably best known as a touring member of the Dave Matthews Band, but his range of experiences is not confined to one group. Hailing from St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, he knew while he was still in high school that music was his calling.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2000, he has had the opportunity to work with artists in many differenct genres of music ranging from funk, rock, jazz, hip hop, gospel and country. Rashawn has toured with such bands as YERBA BUENA, DJ QUIK and SOULIVE and is a member of the DAVE MATTHEWS BAND.

The trumpeter for the Dave Matthews Band, recently announced with the group as part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 inductees, said when the email confirming the honor finally came through, it was a surreal moment.
