Raoul Millais. (1901 — 1999) Born in Horsham, Sussex in 1901, Raoul Millais was the grandson of the artist Sir John Everett Millais. His early introduction to art and culture was supplemented by his enrolment at the Byam Shaw School of Art and later the Royal Academy Schools in 1921.

Raoul Millais 1900-1999, a remarkable man from a remarkable family. His life spanned the entire 20th century. Raoul only ever had four one man shows in his long life at The Fine Arts Society of 1928 and 1936, and the Tryon Gallery in 1973 and 1982.
