Raoul Bardac (30 March 1881 – 30 July 1950) was a French classical composer and pianist. [1] Biography. Born in Paris in 1881, Bardac was Emma Bardac 's son and became Claude Debussy 's stepson after the marriage of the latter to his mother. [2] .

14 de jul. de 2016 · The scandal may have begun in 1901 when a young man named Raoul Bardac began studying composition with Debussy. Raou’ls mother, Emma, was the wife of a wealthy banker and was well-known in Paris society for her charm and her interest in the arts, music in particular.
Now the debilitating first signs of the illness, cancer of the rectum, which would eventually lead to Debussy's death, aggravated an already depressing situation. In retrospect Raoul Bardac dated the initial stages of Debussy's cancer to January 1909, when the symptoms were deceptively benign.

On 6 January Debussy told Vallery-Radot he had begun to write in what he called the ‘true’ eighteenth-century style of Rameau.
