The evening sun was still glowing over the horizon on the jaw-dropping Les Comes estate, tucked away in the hills of Súria, Catalonia, when the starting gun was fired for the 2025 Dakar. It was here, near Barcelona, which became the first Spanish city to host a Dakar stage in 1989, that David Castera declared entries open.

It is a historic day for the Goczał family, as Eryk's father, Marek, also took advantage of the calamity that befell Baciuška to move up to second overall.
28 de dic. de 2021 · Stage 8 (January 10) sees a further 828 kilometres, the longest of the 2022 Dakar Rally, which takes the race to southern Saudi Arabia at Wadi Ad-Dawasir. Again, expect a start of sandy valleys and dunes. On Stage 9 the following day (January 11), the competitors will loop around Wadi Ad-Dawasir over 490 kilometres.
