Curriculum. Queenswood is most definitely not an academic hot-house. Nonetheless, our girls thrive intellectually. They enjoy the freedom to explore and challenge, and are encouraged to be inquisitive and creative. The school was founded in 1937 as Wakefield Tutorial School with a site in Crofton, Wakefield. The school expanded to include sites in Pontefract and also opened a preparatory school in Morley in 1958.
