record producer. Instrument (s) Drums. Labels. E.G. Elektra. Frederick J. Maher is an American drummer, music programmer and record producer. He was a member of the bands Massacre (1980–81), the Dance, Material, Scritti Politti, and has recorded and toured with Lou Reed.
With venerable producer Arif Mardin, Material drummer Fred Maher and other heavyweights, the entirety of Green’s output for the following two years was a 1984 12-inch, which nonetheless established him as a brilliant (if unprolific) pop craftsman.
