Project for Awesome (often abbreviated P4A) is a community-driven charitable movement on YouTube, created by the Green brothers, Hank and John, run through their VlogBrothers YouTube channel and through their online community known as Nerdfighteria.

The very first Project for Awesome was organized in 2007, and in 2024 we will be celebrating the 17th annual event! The 2024 P4A will take place from 12:00pm EST on Friday, February 16th to 11:59am EST on Sunday, February 18th.

The Project for Awesome started back in 2007 when a bunch of video creators decided it would be good, for one day of the year, to take over YouTube in the interest of good. Here's how we do it: Video creators all over the world create videos promoting their favorite charities.
The 2014 P4A was the first time the Project for Awesome raised over one million dollars. Also, Nerdfighteria crashed Indiegogo. John and Hank each made a recap video.
