Life and career. Early life. Coolidge was born in Lafayette, Tennessee. [3] . She is the daughter of Dick and Charlotte Coolidge, a minister and schoolteacher, with sisters Linda and Priscilla, and brother Raymond. [4] . She is of Scottish ancestry.
