Pitchshifter (originally Pitch Shifter) are an English industrial rock band from Nottingham, formed in 1989. The band was started by lead guitarist and programmer Johnny A. Carter, and bassist and vocalist Mark Clayden.
Pitchshifter es una banda de metal industrial de Nottingham, Inglaterra. Se formó entre 1989 y 1990, muy influenciada por bandas como Killing Joke, Swans, Godflesh y Black Flag.
Themes: Hate (early); Society, Politics (later) Current label: PSI Records. Years active: 1989-2003, 2006-2012, 2018-present. Pitchshifter's early years deliberately reflected their contemporary, Godflesh. Their albums Industrial and Submit used the same type of drum machine that Godflesh used early in their career.
